Our Ministry

Congregational Finance LLC seeks to help each congregation promote faithful stewardship of their financial resources by providing resources and training for church leaders. Since 1996, we have worked with more than 200 congregations, developing best practices and procedures that work for volunteers and part-time finance staff. The development of spreadsheet software in the 1980s and then QuickBooks software in the 1990s made it both easier and more complex! Churches can track multiple bank accounts, monitor actual income and expenses vs. budget, and keep track of the activity in their various restricted funds.

We learn from the churches we work with. Over the years, we have developed a model for local church bookkeeping that creates reports that are useful to church leadership, and is also consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (what accountants refer to as GAAP) for non-profit organizations.

To do that, we offer:

  • Website resources
  • Payroll services
  • Bookkeeping services
  • Support for Treasurers and Administrators
  • Training and Workshops

We hope that you find useful resources for the good work that you do for your congregation!
